Sir Thomas Legg ACA Review
After receiving Sir Thomas Legg’s letter in the House of Commons Monday 13 October Jim Hood MP said,
“Sir Thomas’s Review was a necessary event, to bring the MP’s expenses debacle to a conclusion before Sir Christopher Kelly’s independent report on a new system of allowances is reported to Parliament in November”.
Sir Thomas’s letter to Mr Hood identified a duplicate claim made for £1630 from the ACA at the financial year end 2007. Responding to this mistaken overpayment Mr Hood said, “This was an obvious mistake and I have written to Sir Thomas making good the overpayment.”
There were no other issues of repayment raised in Sir Thomas’s letter. He did request information of mortgage details which is being dealt with.
