Gaza Blockade
What we witnessed on the High Seas in the Middle East off Gaza last week was piracy, kidnapping and murder. The Foreign Secretary, William Hague was right to condemn Israel for their criminal deeds, but condemning Israel for their relentless persecution of Palestinians isn’t enough. The UK government need to go further than just supporting UN Security Council resolutions of condemnation and/or calling for the end of the blockade. The UK along with its European Union allies should immediately agree economic sanctions against Israel and implement them whilst the blockade of Gaza continues.

We will never know what triggered a previously thought to be, normal guy into the marauding psychopathic mass murderer in Whitehaven, Cumbria last week. The “rent a quote” experts have been littered across the TV screens giving very little credible explanations as to why Derrick Bird, a local taxi driver, shot and killed 12 innocent victims, one his brother before killing himself. In the midst of this chaos and bewilderment is an uncomfortable truth that very few of these experts are prepared to speak of and that is, what happened in Whitehaven, Cumbria last Wednesday could happen anywhere.
