Phone hacking

A telephone hacking scandal, a crazy American pastor’s bible burning stunt, a spy murder investigation and that was only the first day back for Parliament’s interim recess call-back.
MP’s are smelling blood over their mobile phones being tapped by sinister phone hackers in the pay of an equally sinister red top newspaper. Three parliamentary inquiries were setup last week following reports that 1000 mobile telephone numbers have been hacked by private detective agencies to intrude into the private lives of high profile individuals, including MP’s. There is a lot of mileage in this scandal to unfold and some newspaper bosses could be consulting their lawyers.

Then there was the nutty pastor from Florida who threatened to burn copies of the Koran last week to commemorate the anniversary of 9/11; then claimed at the eleventh hour, God stopped him. This deluded individual exploited the worldwide media coverage for his unchristian and racist views.
Spy murder?
The week also saw a young man linked to MI5 found dead inside a holdall that was zipped up and padlocked on the outside. Trying to explain the incident as a non suspicious death is becoming problematic for the Secret Service chiefs.
